For paid orders, you then – again manually – change their status to start processing them. Wouldn’t it be better to have this entire process automated? There are several ways to match payments to orders using our plugins. You can use a direct connection to a bank account at Fio Bank or one of our invoicing plugins. In this article, we’ll show you how to properly set up automatic matching of bank transactions and orders.
Automatic payment matching between a Fio Bank account and WooCommerce
If you use a Fio Bank account to receive payments, you can use the Toret Fio Bank plugin, which automatically checks incoming payments via the API. If a match is found based on the amount and variable symbol, it automatically changes the order status.
In addition to payment matching, this plugin also allows you to use the Fio Bank payment gateway in your e-shop.
How to set up payment matching using the Fio Bank plugin?
- In Fio Bank’s online banking, you generate a token.
- You enter the token into the plugin. This creates a connection between the e-shop and the Fio Bank account.
- You then set the order status to which the order should be changed after payment matching and the number of days checked retroactively, i.e. how many days back the plugin will load payments.
- The final step is to set up a regular CRON job on your hosting, which will run the checks automatically.
Payment matching is now set up. When a payment for an order is received and the payment check runs, a list of incoming payments will appear under the plugin settings. If the variable symbol and amount match the order, the order status will be changed according to your settings.
