How to quickly and easily register an e-shop with DPD and connect it to WooCommerce

Would you like to offer DPD shipping in your WooCommerce e-shop? DPD is a popular courier company operating in the Czech Republic and across Europe. It has a wide network of branches and pickup points, and of course also delivers directly to customers’ addresses.

In today’s article, we’ll show you step by step how to add DPD shipping to your e-shop.

DPD registration step by step

The first step to delivering parcels to customers via DPD is registering with the carrier. Visit www.dpd.com/cz/cs and in the top menu hover over Send a parcel. A dropdown menu will appear—select For e-shops.

A page will appear with information about the benefits of DPD services, delivery options, and more. At the bottom of the page, you’ll find a contact form used for a non-binding inquiry. Whether you click Request without obligation at the top or Contact me about halfway down, both options will take you to the same form at the bottom of the page.

Simply fill out the form—the required fields are only the company ID, ZIP/postcode, and phone number—and submit it. You can then expect DPD to contact you to discuss and set up the terms of cooperation.

Connecting WooCommerce and DPD

After completing registration and setting up the cooperation terms, it’s time to integrate DPD services into your WooCommerce e-shop. The DPD plugin by Toret.cz will help you with that.

This plugin connects your WooCommerce e-shop with the DPD system for faster and more efficient shipment processing. With a single click, you can easily send shipment data to the DPD system, print shipping labels, generate a tracking number for the customer, and send it to them.

Thanks to the plugin, customers can select current DPD Pickup locations from a map in the checkout or choose delivery to an address. For address delivery, customers can choose between the shipping methods DPD Private and DPD Classic. The plugin supports parcel dispatch in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

In the video below, you can see how easy it is to connect Zásilkovna with WooCommerce using a Toret plugin. With the DPD plugin, you’ll achieve the same simplicity thanks to the detailed documentation.
