The following guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to register with GP WebPay and obtain this payment gateway for your WooCommerce e-shop.
Adding the GP WebPay payment gateway to your WooCommerce e-shop can be a simple and effective way to accept customer payments. GP WebPay is one of the most widely used payment providers in the Czech Republic and offers a secure and reliable infrastructure for online transactions.
1. Choosing a bank for GP WebPay
In the first step, visit https://www.gpwebpay.cz/ and choose a bank that provides this payment gateway, then contact it. Some banks offer contact via email, others via an online application. The relevant links can be found directly on the GP WebPay website.

2. Contract with the bank
Next, you need to sign a contract for providing the payment gateway between you and the selected bank. The bank will request information and documents required to approve your application.
Such information usually includes: business activity, how long you have been operating, annual turnover, requested number of POS terminals, estimated monthly card turnover at the terminal in CZK, terminal details (such as connection type and location address), and of course personal details such as contact information.
You can see how to apply for the payment gateway and terminal in the following video—first from the perspective of a Fio Bank account holder, and then for those who do not yet have a Fio account. You can, of course, choose another bank from the GP WebPay offer. The application process will be similarly straightforward.
3. Implementing the GP WebPay payment gateway into the e-shop
After successfully signing the contract with the bank, it’s time to connect your e-shop to the payment gateway. In WooCommerce, you can do this using the Toret GP WebPay plugin—even without programming knowledge. This plugin supports:
- all payment methods available in this gateway (payment cards, electronic wallets, online bank transfers, QR payments)
- all gateway currencies (USD, EUR, CZK, GBP, HUF, RUB, PLN)
- 27 languages
The plugin adds its own payment method to WooCommerce. Thanks to this, you can select shipping methods or countries for which the payment gateway will be active.
A detailed documentation is available to help you with installation and setup, or you can also use the Convenient plugin installation service and have it configured for you.

The initial setup is done using test credentials. You will obtain these in the GP WebPay test environment.
4. Testing
Before going live, GP WebPay will provide you with access to the test environment. There you will find the necessary documentation and guides, generate a test key, and obtain credentials for test payments, which you will then perform in your e-shop.
After completing the test payments, contact GP WebPay again to request a review. If everything is correct, the live operation will follow.
5. Launching live operation
After successful testing and review by GP WebPay, you will gain access to the production (live) environment. GP WebPay will then activate the payment gateway.
In the production environment, you will generate a live key, which you will insert into the plugin instead of the test key. After disabling test mode in the plugin, you can start accepting payments from real customers via the payment gateway.
As you can see, implementing the GP WebPay payment gateway into a WooCommerce e-shop is not complicated, and with the GP WebPay plugin, you can do it even without programming knowledge. Offer your customers the option to pay via this reliable payment gateway today.
