Do you use the PDF Invoices & Packing Slips plugin to generate invoices in WooCommerce? We have a guide for you on how to enhance the invoices it generates with a QR code for easy payment.
The PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce plugin is a popular plugin for generating invoices directly in the WooCommerce admin. However, one important feature is missing from invoices created by this plugin – a QR code for easy payment. This can be solved very easily with the QR Payments plugin, which allows you to add a QR code to these invoices.
The PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce plugin for invoice generation
The PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce plugin is available for free via the WordPress plugin installer, or you can download it directly from the official repository.

Basic plugin setup
The invoicing plugin settings are straightforward and can be found under WooCommerce > PDF Invoices.

In the “General” tab, you can customize the invoice appearance. You can choose a preset template or create your own, set the logo, store name and address, and the footer. In the footer, you can include information about the business registration in the Trade or Commercial Register.
E.g.: The company is registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section C, File 326539
In the “Documents” tab, you can select which WooCommerce email the invoice will be attached to. You can also disable attaching invoices for specific order statuses.
You can also enable additional information on the invoice, such as email, phone number, or the customer note. We recommend setting the invoice issue date and the numbering sequence. You can customize the invoice number format using a prefix, suffix, or padding.
In this tab, you’ll find additional settings, including a dropdown that switches to packing slip settings. Packing slip generation is enabled by default—if you don’t need it, disable it.
Adding a QR code to invoices
Now let’s move on to the key feature provided by the QR Payments plugin. With our plugin, you can add a QR code for easier bank transfer payment to invoices generated by the PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce plugin.
QR payments
Display payment QR codes on the thank-you page, in emails, and on invoices. The plugin supports Czech and Slovak bank transfers (including variable symbol) as well as SEPA payments for cross-border transfers.
In the QR Payments plugin settings, there is a PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce tab where you can easily set the hook, i.e. the location where the QR code will be displayed on the invoice.

You can add custom text above or below the QR code. You can also style the QR code and text using custom CSS in the plugin settings.

Once you save the settings, the QR code will automatically appear on invoices generated by PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce. You can verify this in the invoice preview within the PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce plugin settings.

As you can see, adding a QR code to an invoice is not difficult at all. It’s a useful improvement that makes paying faster and easier.
