How to add the Heureka “Verified by Customers” widget to a WooCommerce store?

Trustworthiness is one of the key factors that determines whether a customer will buy from your e-shop. A well-known and very helpful trust signal is the Verified by Customers certificate from the popular Heureka comparison website. The blue or gold certificate is awarded based on positive ratings and customer reviews, and it can be an effective way to increase your store’s conversions.

How to get the Verified by Customers certificate

To participate in the Verified by Customers service, you need to have your e-shop registered on the Heureka comparison website and advertise there. You can find the registration form and all required information on Heureka’s website.

Activating the Verified by Customers service

First, you need to activate the service. You can do this directly in your Heureka e-shop account, in Verified by Customers > Settings and questionnaire data. There you will find a form that you need to fill in and submit.

Once you receive a confirmation email that the contract has been concluded, it’s time to move on to implementing the service in your e-shop.

Connecting WooCommerce with Verified by Customers

For Verified by Customers to work with your e-shop, you need to implement a script that sends customers’ email addresses and ensure the Heureka widget is displayed. Both can be done using a suitable plugin. In our case, we will use the Toret Comparison Shopping Sites plugin.

1. Purchase, install, and activate the Toret Comparison Shopping Sites plugin. If you’re not sure how, our plugin documentation will help.

2. In the plugin settings, go to the Heureka – Verified by Customers tab and enable Enable sending Verified by Customers data (1).

3. In the field below, enter the Secret key (2). You can find it in your Heureka account administration under Verified by Customers > Settings and questionnaire data.

4. Don’t forget to save the changes.

The script is now implemented in your e-shop, ensuring your customers’ email addresses are sent to Heureka. This enables satisfaction questionnaires to be sent out. Heureka automatically sends these questionnaires to customers 6 days after purchase.

How to display the Verified by Customers certificate in a WooCommerce store

The Heureka Verified by Customers certificate is awarded based on customer ratings collected via questionnaires. Once you obtain it, you can display the certificate in your store. How?

1. In the Comparison Shopping Sites plugin settings, go to the Heureka – Verified by Customers tab and enable Enable Verified by Customers widget (1). Save.

2. Next, you will need the Public key. You can find it in your Heureka account administration under Verified by Customers > Settings and questionnaire data. Click the link “Here you can find various versions of the Verified by Customers certificate icons”.

In the code window, copy the string of characters after setKey — that is the Public key. Enter it into the corresponding field in the plugin (2) and save.

3. Continue below to the widget settings. In the General settings section, you can choose the widget position and language, as well as its top offset.

The certificate widget will now be displayed in your store. If you lose the certificate, the widget will stop displaying automatically.

As you can see, with the right plugin, implementing Heureka Verified by Customers in a WooCommerce store is very easy — and it can have a major impact.
