How to quickly and easily register your e-shop with GLS and connect it to WooCommerce

GLS is one of the well-known shipping companies delivering in the Czech Republic and across Europe. If you are looking for a partner for home delivery, parcel shops, and lockers, GLS can be a reliable choice, handling shipments up to 40 kg. A major advantage of GLS is its unified European transport network, so if you ship your parcels abroad, GLS delivers them directly and does not hand them over to other carriers.

In today’s guide, we’ll show you how to add GLS shipping to your WooCommerce store as well.

GLS registration step by step

First, you need to register with GLS. We’ll start at https://gls-group.eu, hover over “Senders” in the top menu, and a drop-down menu will appear. Click “Regular shipping with a contract”.

On the page that appears, you can review information about GLS’s offer. Then click the “Get a price quote” button.

At the bottom of the next page, you will find a contact form that needs to be filled out. The form asks for standard contact details (email, phone, name) as well as company information (company name, company ID, address).

Based on this form, a GLS sales representative will contact you within 3 days after submission with a non-binding price offer. After finalizing all details, you can sign a contract and start working with GLS.

Connecting your WooCommerce store with GLS

Once you have signed a cooperation agreement with GLS, you will receive access to the MyGLS portal and can proceed with integrating this carrier into your store. You can do it very easily with the Toret GLS plugin, which connects your store to GLS via API.

Implementing the GLS carrier in a WooCommerce store
Connecting WooCommerce with the GLS carrier system is simple—just enter the implementation details into the prepared fields in the plugin.

Thanks to this plugin:

  • You will improve your checkout with a clear widget including a map for selecting a pick-up point and custom icons for each shipping method (home delivery, parcel shop, and locker).
  • You can configure availability and pricing for each delivery method in detail, including surcharges, cash on delivery, and free shipping.
  • Creating shipments in the MyGLS system will be easy—you can do it with one click directly from your store or fully automatically.
  • You can manage shipments entirely from your store, from sending data and booking a pickup, through printing labels, to tracking shipments in transit.

The entire process of installing, activating, and configuring the plugin is explained step by step in the detailed documentation. Alternatively, you can use the Convenient plugin installation service and have everything set up for you.

As you can see, implementing GLS shipping in your store is not complicated, and you can easily do it with the Toret GLS plugin even without programming knowledge. Offer GLS delivery to your customers today.
